Directions
1. Finely chop the onion, slice mushrooms, and cut the beef into strips. Set aside.
2. In a frying pan, add 2 Tbs of butter and melt over a medium flame. Once melted, add the onion and sauté for 2 minutes.
3. Add the mushrooms and sauté until the onion and mushrooms are tender. Remove the contents from the pan and set aside.
4. In the same pan, add the remaining 2 Tbs of butter and sauté the beef strips until lightly browned.
5. Return the vegetables to the pan and cook together for 2 more minutes.
6. Add wine and cook for 3 minutes or until beef is tender and cooked through.
7. Add salt and pepper to taste.
8. Stir in the sour cream and mix thoroughly. Heat through, stirring constantly or sauce may scorch.
Notes: This dish is best served hot over a bed of egg noodles* or with Basic Rice**.
Substitutions: Sour cream/Plain yogurt. White wine/Apple juice.
