Directions
1. Preheat oven to medium. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
2. Beat butter, granulated sugar, caramel de gust, and vanilla extract in bowl. Add dry ingredient mixture and eggs. Finally add chopped chocolate.
3. Spoon teaspoon sized balls onto an un-greased cookie sheet.
4. Bake for about 10 minutes. You may need to turn your tray at the 5 minute mark to ensure even baking.
Notes: This recipe replaces ¾ cup brown sugar and ¾ sugar (usually found in chocolate chip cookies) with 2 packages of the Caramel de Gust. It also replaces chocolate chips with simply chopped chocolate. The easiest way to chop the chocolate is to stab pieces with the point of a knife. If you’re searching for “Caramel de Gust”, Dr. Oatker’s makes it; it has a picture of a pancake on the package.
Variations: Add nuts, experiment with different types of chocolate, add cocoa for double chocolate chip cookies. Let your imagination run wild!
