Directions
1. In a small pot, begin heating milk over a medium-low flame.
2. Once the milk has begun to warm, slowly begin to stir in some griş. Let the milk begin to simmer while stirring constantly (turn heat down to low when it reaches a simmer).
3. Add more griş if necessary, but slowly. It will expand as it cooks. The amount of griş will depend on desired consistency.
4. Remove from the flame and let stand for 2 minutes. Add desired flavorings and serve.
Variations: Tasty flavorings include - fruit, berries, fruit syrup, sugar, honey, nuts, seeds, cinnamon, and/or raisins. For another, saltier version, add butter, salt, pepper, and grated cheese. For Cream of Wheat that isn’t so rich, use half milk and half water.
