Fruit (prepared) |

Directions
1. Wash, pit, and seed fruit (as needed).
2. In a bowl, combine sugar and fruit.
3. Let sit overnight. Overnight, a juice will form and the fruit will shrink.
4. Boil the mixture on the stove, stirring to ensure it does not burn.
5. As the mixture boils, a white foam will form on top. Spoon the foam off as necessary.
6. After approximately 15 minutes test the Dulceaţă to see if it is done by spooning a little into cool water. If it slowly solidifies then it is ready.
Notes: Dulceaţă can be stored in sterilized jars if you’d like. You can use most fruits in this recipe: strawberries, cherries, apricots, peaches, blueberries and more.
