Directions
1. Heat all ingredients over a low flame in a small sauce pan.
2. Bring to a boil, and keep at a boil, stirring regularly for 10-15 min. Syrup should thicken a bit – keep heating if it doesn’t (to evaporate water). Serve warm or cool.
Notes: Mock Pancake Syrup can be stored in the fridge and re-heated again later. It may take a try or two to get the hang of this recipe. It’s quite tasty when you get it right! You may try vanilla instead of cinnamon if you like. This syrup is great with Pancakes*, or with desserts.
Substitutions: Brown sugar/White sugar.
