plain pancake batter
1 tablespoonful of fresh dill
Prepare a plain pancake batter, but omit the rum or cognac. Make a mixture of grated hard cheese, one egg yolk and one tablespoonful of finely minced fresh dill.
Have it ready before you begin to fry the pancakes. In the frying pan melt enough butter to cover the bottom evenly.
Fry pancakes till a nice light brown, turn with a spatula and place some of the caşcaval mixture on half of the surface.
Flap over the other half, press together and fry on both sides to a light brown. Serve immediately while still hot.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
