Directions
1. Rinse pork chops.
2. In a skillet, add a small amount of oil and heat over a medium-high flame. Once heated, quickly sear the pork chops, just until browned on each side. Set aside.
3. Wash, peel (optional) and quarter the vegetables and apples. In a large pot, add the seared pork chops, vegetables, apples, salt and pepper. Add just enough water to cover the contents of the pot.
4. Over a medium-high flame, bring the water to a boil. Cover and reduce the heat to a low flame.
5. Simmer for 45 minutes or until the meat and veggies are done. The pork is done when the meat is white all the way through.
Notes: A good down-home meal. This is best served on a chilly autumn evening. You can add some white wine to the water if you’d like for more flavor. Also feel free to add herbs or spices.
