Directions
1. Cut meat into 1 inch pieces.
2. Sauté the meat in a large pot with a lid. (Add oil only if necessary.) Allow the meat to become juicy.
3. Clean and cube the potatoes. Mince the garlic.
4. Add the potatoes and just enough water to cover them. Bring to a boil and add the garlic.
5. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered. If you are using firmer, fresh veggies (like potatoes, carrots, or other roots), add them now. Otherwise, wait a 10 minutes and then add vegetables.
6. Stir occasionally and season with salt, pepper and paprika.
7. Allow the water to boil down until the remaining liquid creates a sauce and the vegetables are tender. Serve with sour cream and hot peppers.
Variations: For the meat in this recipe you can use ham, sausage, or salami. You could also try any left over meat you have (chicken etc.). You can use any type of vegetables you would like – what ever is in season. Fresh, frozen or canned – anything works.
