Directions

Peel, rinse and chop potatoes. In a pot, boil water over a medium flame. Boil the potatoes, whole, until tender

2.  Drain potatoes and mash until crumbled in a large bowl. Add the eggs, shredded brânza, flour, dill and salt. Mix until well blended.

3.  By the spoonful, form the mixture into balls and roll them in extra flour. In a large pan, add oil for frying and heat over a medium-high flame. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.

4.  Remove and let them cool slightly before serving.

 

Notes: The cheese is subtle in this, so if you're looking for something with a noticeable cheese flavor/texture, you may want to add more. It also might benefit from the addition of onions.
