Directions
1. Put water in a large glass or clear plastic jar/pitcher. Add tea bags and sugar (if using).
2. Cover the jar, and place in a warm sunny spot for 6-8 hours. Stir periodically, to dissolve sugar.
3. When tea is finished, taste, add more sugar if needed. Stir until sugar has dissolved.
4. Chill tea, serve with a slice or two of lemon.
Notes: You can make Sun Tea with any type of tea – black, green, herbal, fruit etc. While tea is brewing, check periodically and add ore remove tea bags as needed to adjust strength.
Variations: Adjust amount of sugar to meet your taste – or replace the sugar with honey. You can also add some sprigs of fresh mint to the jar as the tea brews.
